This Cancellation Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our full Terms & Conditions. By booking a tour, trek, or expedition with Trek To K2 Base Camp, you agree to the terms below.
1. How to Cancel
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to [Insert Email]. A cancellation is only considered effective from the date we confirm receipt in writing — verbal or informal cancellation requests are not accepted.
2. Cancellation by the Client
You may choose one of the following options when cancelling a confirmed booking:
Option A — Cash Refund
Notice Before Departure Refund Amount More than 90 days Full refund minus 5% admin fee 61–90 days 75% refund 31–60 days 50% refund 30 days or less No refund Option B — Future Travel Credit
- 100% of the amount paid is issued as credit toward a future trip
- Valid for 24 months from the date of cancellation
- Transferable to another traveler
- Can be used toward a different itinerary or season
Please note that non-refundable third-party costs already paid on your behalf (e.g., permit fees already submitted to authorities, non-refundable domestic flights) may be deducted from either option, where applicable.
3. Cancellation by Trek To K2 Base Camp
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a trip due to:
- Insufficient minimum group size
- Government restrictions, security concerns, or permit refusal
- Force majeure events as described in Section 8 of our Terms & Conditions
In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your payment to an alternative departure date, at your choice.
4. Date Changes
Requests to change your travel dates (rather than cancel) may be accommodated subject to availability and an administrative fee. Date change requests must also be submitted in writing.
5. No-Shows and Early Departure
No refund will be issued for travelers who fail to join the trip (“no-show”) or who voluntarily leave the trip early for any reason, including but not limited to personal preference, illness, or inability to continue at altitude.
6. Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and interruption insurance at the time of booking, as outlined in Section 6 of our Terms & Conditions. This policy does not replace the need for adequate travel insurance.
